Celebrating 40 Years in Style – Hog Roast Scarborough Hits the Green!
At Hog Roast Scarborough, we love a celebration – and when Tom invited us to cater a very special occasion at a beloved local golf club, we knew we had to bring our A-game. Marking 40 incredible years since the club first opened its doors, this black-tie bash was one for the books, and we’re incredibly thankful to Tom for putting his trust in our crew!
With hundreds of members and guests attending, the night was designed to impress – and it absolutely delivered. From the moment guests arrived, dressed to the nines, they were swept into a night of glamour and fun. A live band kept the energy high, a mind-bending mentalist wowed the crowd, and Hog Roast Scarborough tied it all together with a feast fit for the milestone.
To match the event’s upscale vibes, we rolled out our Formal Hog Roast Dining Menu, and it all began with sparkle and flavour. Guests were greeted with welcome drinks and elegant canapé platters, brimming with mini quiches, bite-sized pizzas, delicate smoked Scottish salmon, rich roasted duck, and a vibrant Indian selection. These tempting bites were only the beginning!
Once the canapés were devoured, the crowd was ready for the main event. We kicked things off with a comforting homemade soup starter, served alongside fresh, crusty bread rolls and butter – simple, yet utterly satisfying.
As the music played in the background, we rolled out the showstopper: a full hog roast experience with all the trimmings! As well as succulent pork, we served whole-roasted free-range chicken with chipolata sausages, and grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs, which ensured every guest had a choice to suit their tastes. But that’s not all – we didn’t forget the sides! Guests enjoyed heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella, classic Caesar salad, creamy coleslaw, and indulgent dauphinoise potatoes baked to perfection in double cream.
And what’s a celebration without dessert? Our light, creamy cheesecakes and decadent chocolate tortes were the perfect sweet finale, leaving everyone raving about the feast.
The golf club’s 40th anniversary was a night of elegance, joy, and unforgettable flavours. We were thrilled to be part of it and raise a toast to three fantastic decades – and many more to come.
