Francis and Dave book a UK holiday for their family each year, inviting their 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and all of their partners. This is always a hectic but brilliant weekend, with lots of fun activities lined up, as well as time to relax and catch up. Since they usually stay in cabins or apartments, the holidays are always self-catered, which leaves the adults to prepare and provide the food. For the Friday night of their break, Francis has hired Hog Roast Whitby to serve a delicious buffet menu, allowing the whole family to enjoy a well-deserved rest. Our catering manager Steven was happy to get involved with this event and he knew that our classic hog roast would be ideal for the occasion, especially if the spring sunshine made an appearance!

In preparation for this event, Steven and the Hog Roast Whitby team will arrive at the private venue in the afternoon and begin to prepare for the 5:00pm serving time. We will begin by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it is roasted to perfection. Once carved, the delicious pork will be served in fresh bread rolls and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be serving succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages, to ensure that there is a main dish for everyone to enjoy. For the sides, the guests can enjoy homemade chips, a green leaf salad, gourmet coleslaw, and corn cobettes. This catering is sure to go down a treat and will be a great addition to the family holiday!
