Laura’s 40th Birthday Bash Was Made Legendary Thanks To Hog Roast Ripon!

Here at Hog Roast Ripon, we know birthdays aren’t your everyday get-together. They’re personal. A rare chance to slow down, take stock of the year (or years!), and enjoy being centre stage – even if just for a few hours.

And while decorations and music help set the mood, let’s be honest; what people really remember is the food. If it’s average, so is the party. But if it’s properly good? That’s what gets people talking. That’s where we come in.

Locals know us as Yorkshire’s top choice for hog roasts. Our pulled pork rolls? Kind of famous. But don’t just go by what we say – Laura’s 40th is a perfect example.

Laura wanted something relaxed, fun, and a bit different. We were chuffed when she asked Hog Roast Ripon to be involved, and we brought everything we had to the table. Literally.

The sun showed up too, full force. Laura skipped the venue and used her garden, which honestly couldn’t have worked out better. When your backyard’s a sunny little oasis, why not?

Hog Roast Ripon set up shop and slow-roasted the hog right there. The skin turned out golden with just the right amount of crunch. Inside, the meat was soft, juicy, full of flavour. People were hovering nearby, taking in the smell before the first bite was even served.

Each roll was put together fresh: pulled pork, crunchy crackling, a layer of sage and onion stuffing, and a spoonful of our homemade applesauce on top. For sides, we had creamy coleslaw and salad so fresh it looked like it came straight from the veg patch (because it had) with cucumber, sweet red pepper, leafy greens, the lot.
